What colleges are in the mix for Selena Harris other than LSU? Will she be a junior next year and able to make a commitment this summer?

She is looking at quite a few with UCLA, Utah, OU and LSU were among the top ones on her list earlier last year. Arkansas is also pretty heavily interested in Selena. She has been very open about how much she likes LSU. Very close with all our current commits. She plans to be back at camp this summer, hopefully she gets a scholarship offer.

Guys and gals, watching the American cup with the talk of Simone being the GOAT, I agree and its not even close as far as I'm concerned, is there someone coming down the pike that might take her place one day? I haven't seen anybody that's even close but I'm sure ya'll know better than me. Just wondering.

So the vault scores were pretty tight when Olivia went and I think that’s the reason for her lower score. I saw where Jacey is going to Arkansas. And li and Perea going to cal. So exciting to see all the great gymnasts start to go to other schools. I would love to have Selena but I wouldn’t mind seeing her go to a different school not UCLA, Utah or fla. I saw a girl last night going to Kentucky who looked good. Just not mizzou. I’ve read some pretty awful things about shannon, their coach.

Does anyone know if we are trying to recruit more british girls - ondine did great at the melb World Cup and Jennifer gadirova did great at a American cup winning floor and vault and coming second on beam.

Florida and Penn State just completed the meet. Florida finished with its 3rd 198+ with a 10 on floor from Trinity and a 10 on beam for Rachel Gowey. This has been a banner year for them.

Florida has been relatively healthy all year, minus Reed a few weeks. They are clearly the #2 team behind OU. Don’t see anyone challenging those two teams for the title this year.

No one is beating Florida at SEC's unless they make some mistakes. Florida and OU are clearly the two most superior teams in the country this year.

That said, things don't always go as planned. I've seen many teams look unbeatable over the years only to stumble when it counts. Florida was clearly a top 4 team last year but stumbled their way out of regionals.

Would love for LSU to end up facing Georgia and/or Denver at regionals!

Btw, has anyone here thought about the potential for meets to get canceled? Im starting to hear about other sporting events getting canceled or restricting the crowds

If Sarah Edwards truly cannot come back this season, will she be eligible to claim this as a redshirt year? Anyone know the rules for a medical redshirt season?

With how amazing our team is looking in the future, having her two more years would enhance that even more! A blessing in disguise perhaps??

Red shirt question - College Gymnastics Board - Tapatalkwww.tapatalk.com › groups › red-shirt-question-t12933
- The application for medical redshirt is not made until after the season ends and the athlete's circumstances make them eligible (i.e. they competed in less than 30%, got injured, and did not compete again.) Any athlete in any sport has 5 years to compete 4.

Sarah competed in the first 3 meets and was injured in the 4th meet at Florida.

Edwards competed in 4 meets

There are a total of 15 meets counting up to the 2 regional meets. She would technically have competed in less than 30% and would meet criteria for medical redshirt. Whether she utilizes it is another story.

I heard something about a knee injury for Kennedi. I’m going to be heartbroken if she can’t compete this Friday for senior night. Any updates?

Edney sustained a knee injury in practice which is why she did not compete at all last week She has had a knee issue before.

LSU could potentially be without her at SECs if things don’t change quick.

That’s sad for her that she won’t be doing senior night. (I’m assuming here so correct me if I’m wrong) poor kennedi! Not how you want to end your last year. :(

That sucks. It's always awful for anyone to get injured, but it seems especially bad when it's right at the end of their career.

UCLA regional??

We may be going to a regional with 0 fan attendance. Our #6 position put us in this regional at this point

That would be difficult for the athletes with no fans. Our ranking could go up or down depending on Friday night and the SEC Championship. Maybe they will move the Regional if things go south in California.
