Yes, that is why they suspended Wade. They did it to please the hacks, but completely alienated their fanbase. Public relations nightmare.
The way they handled the Miles saga. Public relations nightmare. Now this statement by Alleva, where he needed only to say that Wade had complied with their request, and had thus been reinstated, he decides to throw in a shot at Wade that he had already taken at him the last time he made a public statement about Wade.
Making him look extremely petty, and making for another PR snafu.
I'm not sure what point you're missing, but I hope this clears it up a bit.

FWIW, I didn’t acknowledge him because he’s putting words into my mouth/thumbs that I never even said.
I generally don’t engage people who are intellectually dishonest, but I appreciate those who do and who set the record straight.
I just don’t have the patience to go back and forth with someone who isn’t intellectually honest.
I’ve stated that Joe overreacted to media pressure, and have referenced the Yahoo story, but never said anything close enough for that to have been an accurate paraphrasing of my comments.
I stand by my comments, but he’s either confusing me with someone else or isn’t being honest. Either way, it’s not worth my time to engage.
Patience is a virtue that I lack, and I do appreciate those more patient than myself.
