I hope Cap doesn't die. Just left in the 1940s with Peggy. Iron man won't die permanently.

They fight him at the beginning and actually win but the gauntlet is too severely damaged to undo the snap. Captain Marvel dies in he beginning. (Her over confidence in the trailers leads me to this)
Avengers take the damaged gauntlet with them and try to repair it and are unsuccessful so they use the quantum realm to travel back in time and try to get the stones throughout history and make a replica. They are successful and Tony or Cap will wield the new gauntlet which will kill one of them.

I generally dislike time travel as a solution, but it seems most likely in this case. I just hope it’s done well. It’s not like the ending of the infinity stone saga in the comics was great.
