The Alabama game in 05 was the year Jamarcus Russell hit Dwayne Bowe in the end zone right? That was an incredible game.

My favorite of all time had to be LSU vs Alabama in 2000. At the time, LSU had 31 years of close calls, almost, lose on a fluke play, etc. to those cocksuckers. And they didn't always have a better team than LSU. It was just like a cloud hanging over Tiger Stadium every time they came to town and the clock read zero. Kinda feels similar now since 2011, except we can't seem to beat them here or there.

71 LSU - Notre Dame

This is the winner. I've attended nearly every home game since 1967 and this is by far the winner.
LSU lost in south bend the year before and sunday morning after that game everybody in Louisiana circled the rematch on their calendars. The hype built up for a year and as soon as the game the week before ended it was game week for Notre Dame. It was THE topic of conversation all over baton rouge that week. And when saturday finally got here Tiger stadium was electric from start to finish.
Easily the most memorable game played in that stadium.

While I didnt see it, my dad did so I'll give props to LSU ole miss 59 as runner up.

1971 LSU-ND (revenge for no bowl game in '69 and loss at South Bend in '70)
1979 LSU-USC (possibly greatest assembly of future NFL talent ever in Tiger Stadium)

LSU v. Florida 2007. For me, there has been no other game before or since that has fully matched the experience of attending that game

1. IIRC, it was a very rare CBS NIGHT game at the time. Since CBS got the SEC contract in 1998, essentially every game was shown at 2:30. They made an exception that day to broadcast a NIGHT game in Tiger Stadium (I think they had to work out a deal with ESPN to do it). That, in and of itself, made the game seem even more special than it already being hyped.

2. The emotion swings and tension was unbelievable. Florida would jump out by 10 and LSU would answer over and over. Even before the final drive, Les made some of the gutsiest calls one could imagine. Down 17-7, Les calls for the fake FG that led to TD. Down 10 once more LSU drives the length of the field, but instead of settling for a short FG to make it a 10 point game, Les goes for it on 4th down and gets a TD. Every call was high risk and every one worked out.

3. That game had the most surreal moment I've experienced in Tiger Stadium. LSU scores a TD to cut the lead to 3. There was murmuring that Stanford had upset #1 USC, meaning LSU would be the clear #1 team with a win. We had seen a lot of great things in LSU football over the last 10 years or so, but never them playing as the clear cut #1 team in the middle of a season. THEN, Borne announces the Stanford/USC score and the crowd goes berserk. The players go berserk. The band is playing and it was a WILD scene.

It's the only game I've left utterly exhausted from simply just experiencing 4 hours of nerve racking tension.

Home: Florida 2007. Jacob Hester was the man. When the announcement was made that USC lost was the loudest and most intense sound I ever heard.

Away: Oregon in Dallas. America, please meet Tyran Matthieu.

I will never forget that. Some guy behind me mentioned it. And when the PA announced the score the stadium came unhinged and was unlike anything I've ever seen.
