the numerous over the back calls that weren’t made

There is no such thing as an "over the back" foul. Jumping higher than the guy in front of you is not a foul. Pushing is a foul. If you push someone to gain position from behind that is a foul.

It’s so lame to be the guy to go to twitter to complain about stuff like this. There’s bad officiating, terrible officiating, great officiating, etc. Nothing stuck out tonight.

I agree that it was more or less a fairly called game but I don't see what's lame about pointing out how badly botched of a call that was by a ref that had a perfect view of the play. I'm not claiming conspiracy but that was a very bizarre call that UVA got at a critical point in the game. There's going to be some criticism. It doesn't take away from the fact that they're national champions.

Yeah, I've played and coached basketball and I could have cared less last night either way. Actually, I was a Bobby Knight fan so I was kind of going for Tech. That being said, I didn't think that one team totally benefited from some NFC Championship calls. I actually thought they missed the first review that was off TT and then Mooney was in the lane for an eternity before hitting a tough shot. And if you don't watch a lot of CBB that is nothing compared to a regular game in terms of missing calls. I actually talked to a few coaching friends after the game who were there and the officiating was never brought up once.

I could slow the entire game down and start seeing fouls left and right that weren’t called.
That isn't at all what is happening in this thread.

For one, at least fricking SEE a foul before calling it. Aren't these guys supposed to see a foul and not wish it into existence? Because they gave Virginia 2 points for a player tripping himself.

And then they let the defense wildly slap at a PG sll the way down the court and then slow mo reviewed it when the defender knocked the shite out of the ball out of bounds.

So Virginia got a foul literally invented for them and then what you brought up, a slow motion investigation into a call that with slow motion, could go any which way 100 times in every game.

So TT got the absolute worst of both worlds here.

Are we watching the same video? That ref's angle made it seem like TT player grabbed Guy as he went around the screen.

Oh so now we’re talking about the entire game?

Well you're the one that expanded the scope of calls.

Using the "well they did it too" line makes you look like a big ole bitch while simultaneously admitting it was a bad call
