There has not been one single poll that shows JBE has the necessary 50.1% to win outright in the first round, he's not running against a scandal plagued republican, the spotlight will be on him the entire campaign as he will have to defend his record, and he has to survive Trump and Pence coming to town to lay the hammer down on him if the polls are close for the runoff.

You underestimate how vulnerable JBE is.

no, some white folk's lips turn a few shades darker when they're chapped. His especially fair tone makes it look like lipstick.

No, I don't. I'd like to think that some residents of the state are paying attention.

Eddie Rispone. Notable baton rouge area businessman and has never ran for office before. LINK

Ralph Abraham. Congressman from North Louisiana and very conservative guy to boot. LINK

His buddy, Dave Vitt, couldn't get the Governor's seat in our Red state.

That's because Vitter ran a shite campaign in a GOP-heavy contest.

No. Just... no. Kennedy wasn't going to run for Governor this go-round. JBE has a strong rhetorical platform and he's term-limited after this run. Besides, the DC media appears to love the shite out of Kennedy as he's probably already gotten more TV time as Senator than he had with all his State offices combined. More importantly, that TV time is national so he's reaching more in the State in one national interview than he would by doing an interview for a Louisiana-only entity (Engster, Griffon, one of the tv stations, etc).

It wouldn't shock me for him to be waiting for 2024. He can use his cred as being a Trump supporter in DC as well as having a non-incumbent field in which he'll probably be the biggest name by far.
