LSU is hitting California hard and it may be paying off

I posted this tweet in the Kendall Milton commit watch thread the other day.
#Cali2theB0ot
This tweet may have been in response to Kendall's earlier tweet that he copied (or sent?) to Collin D'Angelo.
I hadn't really thought that much about the Cali kids other than the two that are already committed. But I saw this on Dandy's this morning and it is kind of eye opening.
LSU is doing work in Cali. Hope it pays off with more than the two we already have.

LSU seems to be lighting up the Golden State. California always produces a ton of top talent, and this year is no different. 247Sports’ composite player rankings show California as having six five-star prospects in the 2020 class.
What’s interesting from an LSU perspective is that LSU already has a commitment from one of them, cornerback Elias Ricks of Santa Ana, along with three-star defensive tackle Jordan Berry of Harbor City, Cal.
The Tigers are also garnering attention from three other other elite California prospects. Inside linebacker Justin Flowe, who visited LSU last weekend, is No. 1 in the state. At No. 2 is quarterback DJ Uiagalelei who took in a Fiesta Bowl practice with the Tigers and has held LSU in high regard ever since. At No. 3 is Ricks (already committed to LSU), and at No. 4 is running back Kendall Milton who announced yesterday that he will be visiting LSU on April 15. Milton (6-2, 220) is one of two five-star running backs currently showing some interest in LSU, along with Houston’s Zachary Evans.

USC is down. Eddie O is getting his revenge.

Who is Flowers? Do you mean Flowe? I know Flowe was there, but maybe there is a recruit I don’t know about.

Historically, it's a waste of time and effort. Maybe this will be different.

I think O is just beginning to hit his recruiting stride!

Yes Flowe...phone autocorrected

Getting him would be the biggest pull in possibly a decade, being from Cali and all.

As does Tommie Robinson, as does Aranda, as does Cregg.

Who would be bigger? Only one I can think of would be Fournette.
Just looked. Flowe is number 3 composite player. Over the past decade since 2009, LSU has landed the #3 recruit 3 times, and the #1 recruit once on the composite. Derek Stingley, Lael Collins, Russell Shepard all at number 3. 2 of the 3 were from Louisiana and Shepard from Texas. Fournette obviously number 1 from Louisiana. I didn’t say he would be the biggest I said “possibly the biggest”... is that a stretch to say? I’m considering the fact he’s a 5 star #3 recruit in he nation from California. So only one I can think of would be Fournette, or throw in a few others. Flowe definitely would be in the conversation.

What does it mean to get “cold feet” ?

So many of you who are critical of O don’t realize how popular he was at USC and that many of their fans wanted him as their coach. Instead they went with Sark, Helton, etc. and over at UCLA Mora ran the program down and Chip is a has been who will disappoint in Westwood. O has a brand in Cali and that is why the Tigers are recruiting well out West.
