If you ever take off your Trump-colored glasses you will realise this statement is erroneous.
I'm listening as we speak to an NPR interview with Julián Castro. He's intelligent, well informed, articulate and lacks the widely perceived strangeness of Beto and some other entries in the field. His first executive action when he gets in the White House will be to rejoin the Paris accord.
I know Castro is now second tier among 2020 democrats, but he has executive experience and can reach across the aisle, and get things done. The more you get to know him, the more you'll like him.

Funny how when Robert Francis was running in Texas that "perceived strangeness" wasn't AT ALL an issue for you dems.
It was only after he got his arse kicked, and then the actions from his teen years was published, that y'all abandoned him.
You're whole party is a clown car of "perceived strangeness".

If he is truly willing to "reach across the aisle," then he has no chance of becoming the nominee of today's Democrat Party.

Will it be him or his twin brother? You gotta watch that guy, he has a history with the old switcheroo.

Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro on Tuesday called for the U.S. to end criminalizing illegal border crossings under an immigration plan that marks the first policy rollout of his 2020 campaign.
"The truth is, immigrants seeking refuge in our country aren't a threat to national security. Migration shouldn't be a criminal justice issue," Castro wrote in a blog post laying out his plan.
But his new immigration platform now includes specifics that would include making being in the U.S. illegally a civil, and not criminal penalty.
Castro is also calling for reconstituting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement by splitting the agency in half and putting enforcement duties elsewhere. LINK
