Looking for wireless outdoor security camera and wireless outdoor lights: for backyard

My security system is Simplisafe and they don't have a wireless outdoor camera...
I'm looking at EzViz cameras, ~$60/camera and $5.99/month for recording services. Notifies me when there is activity like Nest.
I'm leaning towards EzViz, anyone here used/use them?
As far as the lights, I'm looking for some that I can mount either on my roof or side of house, I'd like timer lights but would use motion lights as well. These MUST be either solar or battery powered, I don't have an electric line to my backyard and don't want to run a cord... The lights would be for security and also for nighttime lighting in the yard when I am grilling out/crawfish boils as I currently have none

Recently got the Blink XT Cameras on Amazon and have been happy with them. Wireless and can check, sends alerts and stores the video clips all on the phone app. Also no monthly fees

I bought my parents the Amazon Blink security cameras for Christmas this year. They run off 2x AA batteries and have night vision and daylight modes, in HD w/sound. The app is run right off your phone and it sends you a live feed when the cameras area activated. They run off your wifi, so you have to mount them on the house within range. We have one mounted at the garage, front and back doors. Very please with them so far.

My only suggestion is to not use wireless if mounting to your house. Too easy to get a wire pulled through and you will have much better performance without having to worry about changing batteries constantly.

I'm a fan of the ring floodlight security cameras. Have 2 of those installed as well as one of their doorbells. They currently are about to add outdoor landscape lighting to their products. Unlimited plan for their data services runs $100 per year or $10 per month. They are a bit more expensive than other products on the market but the quality of the equipment is fantastic.
The company got bought out by amazon last year so the future looks great for integration with smart home products as well as increasing the products they offer.

If I order the blink cameras on Amazon, do they come with wall mounts? Or do I have to order those separately?

My problem with Ring is I already have Simplisafe and if I get ring I will have to set up a whole different system which will cost me a lot of $$$$$ upfront that I already spent once on Simplisafe...

The ring alarm system uses the same app as does the cameras but they can act alone and don't require each other to function. If it's the data plan that is the issue, the unlimited plan is the $100/year or $10/month. But they do have a basic plan that covers 1 camera that is only $30/year or $3/month

Is the area you want to mount the camera and lights not able to have power run to it? Reason I ask is that battery-powered outdoor lights and cameras are not reliable and I've had units suffer moisture intrusion even with gasketed battery compartments. I use a couple of Moultrie trail cameras now since they seem to hold up to weather but I still check the batteries every week or so. I just finished installing wiring and junction boxes in my attic and detached garage/shop for an 8-channel camera system though.

It is possible, but I don't really want to schedule an electrician to come do that, this camera will be pretty easily accessible to me so changing it's batteries every few months or so won't be that big of a deal (The Blink claims to last 2 years). As far as weathering, I'm not too worried about that

Get Ring. Lifetime warranty and only 100 bucks a year. I got the AC power instead of battery or solar.
Get a standard extension cord, wire it straight into the ring, and move it wherever you want. No need for electrician. I can set em up in 15 minutes, and the cool thing is when you get another just add connect to your wifi network and it's up and going.

Also for lights, just go to your phone and turn the lights ON with the app. They are LED and brighter than every floodlight on my place.

This right here screams forget the battery powered lights. If you want to do that your much better off getting it hardwired

We have Arlo cameras. I take them down and charge them as needed. The ones on the front of the house catch a lot of street traffic so they get charged most often. About every 6 or 8 weeks. The newer cameras will start recording from a loud noise and they back up 3 seconds after they have been triggered. Arlo provides a weeks worth or storage for free.
I'm a restaurant owner and I have gone through dozens of security cameras. The Arlo is priced a really high but it's the most simple system I've used. If you have the time and the ability then I'd use hardwired cameras with on site storage and a battery backup.

Man, I understand that you want convenience with the wireless but please understand that an electrician isn’t needed for camera wires. Hell you can hire a professional to do it for just over a grand.

I'm happy with my Arlo system. Just buy the rechargeable batteries. I swap them 3-4 times a year.
