I hope he’s totally exonerated, sues the shite out of Alleva and Alexander, gets them both fired, then takes the AD job at this point.

If WW is not taken down I hope he sues LSU for all the bonus money he should've made

Nothing will fix this relationship, it is broken. Alleva is a dead man walking.

the tapes, man, the tapes. That’s why Wade lawyered up and clammed up.

Well, going by how he handled the Duke Lacrosse debacle, he probably doesn't. It was a knee-jerk reaction, because Dick Vitale posted some mean tweets.

He did it because that's what he does. He assumes the worst and throws his people under the bus.

Wrong. He suspended Wade because LSU’s admin caved to some pressure. This time, it was pressure from Dookie V, Pat Forde, Dana O’Neil and a few other screaming yentas. In 2015, it was from a small but vocal minority of dipshits who wanted Miles to stay and the admin reversed course in about 2 hours during the Texas A&M game.
Auburn did nothing after Bruce Pearl’s assistant got caught LAST SEASON. Auburn wanted to talk to Pearl, he told them to get bent, he still has his job and they’re in the Elite 8. Sean Miller is still coaching at Arizona. Bill Self is mentioned on the transcript of the wiretap and he’s still coaching. All three of these schools have thumbed their noses at the NCAA and so far nothing has been done. North Carolina had the biggest case of academic fraud in the history of the NCAA, by the NCAA’s own admission, and NOTHING was done to them. The NCAA doesn’t even have subpoena power.
When everyone is going 85 in a 70, the cop can’t give everyone a ticket. Why you then flag yourself down and point out to the cop that you were speeding is beyond me. But that’s LSU’s admin for you. Typical knee-jerk reaction to whatever pressure point is presented to them. A lack of leadership and a hot-headed AD who is tasked to do the dirty work. Alleva once fired a softball SID in the middle of the postseason because they guy had the common decency and professional courtesy to give proper notice he was leaving after the season. That’s an example of misplaced priorities, a hair-trigger temper and a short-sighted outlook that is typical of this dipshit administration.

But...if Will Wade is indeed guilty and LSU gets hammered, do you still back him? The majority of the board seems to feel that way because "everyone cheats."
If Will is dirty and LSU gets drilled, will you still support him? The near consensus has been in support of him no matter his "offer." If he destroys LSU basketball for the next 6 years, will you still love him?

He did it because he rushed to judgment based on no facts and now it's come back and bite him and F King in the arse, and rightfully so. Good.
And he knows he screwed up. When the entire basketball venue full of paying fans chases out the "powerful" AD, that's telling.
He has to go. Now.

What makes you think he is guilty of anything? Show me some concrete evidence of something that's worthy of him being suspended all this time.
Because it "sounds" like he offered something?
Since it's such and open and shut case, it should be easy. Show me the proof he did wrong and it's worth dragging his name through the mud.
As of now, I don't see it.

And how do you know it hasn’t been destroyed for the next 3 or 4 years by a premature rush to judgment? Why couldn’t you gather more facts before deciding to suspend your coach? You based your decision on a report of a wiretap transcript. If Yahoo really had a hotter, bigger smoking gun, don’t you think they would have released it by now? Their report on Shannon Forman the other day was a nothing burger, given that we already knew Forman was the middleman and the NCAA talked to Forman before Smart was cleared.
There may be more, but why not wait for ALL the FACTS to come out before you suspend your coach on the basis of a REPORT from a writer (Pete Thamel) who has way more misses than hits in his attempts to be the next Woodward and Bernstein.
And now let’s say that’s it and nothing happens to LSU with the NCAA. What have you got left? A coach (if he isn’t fired) who doesn’t trust his admin or you have to look for a new coach if this drags on without resolution. What coach in his right mind and of any professional competence would come work at LSU when he knows the first time he looks the wrong way his bosses won’t have his back?

Try again. My post said "IF" Will Wade is guilty. Selective quoting makes you dishonest and foolish.

My mistake.
IF he's guilty then that changes things. However, IF he's guilty, it more than likely would've come out by now.
I don't have much faith in most of the powers that be to bring a positive light to this though.
They can't admit they screwed up.

If he is found guilty, I would not support him. But LSU suspended Wade based on a report of a transcript and potentially damaged this program before ALL of the FACTS (not reports, not heresay, but FACTS) were out. And they may have damaged the program in the near future with this premature rush to judgment caused by the fact they can’t handle media pressure and have no clue on how to manage crisis communications.

Oh, I don't think Yahoo has released it all because they don't have it all. It's being released to them in bits and tantalizing taunts like Yahoo is doing to everyone else. It's drama, and it's glorious.
Why suspend Will Wade? Because they wanted to ask him what else might be released, and he was afraid. Very afraid. He could try and explain away what's been said. He can't explain away what he thinks could be coming. You're naive if you don't think there's more.

And our incompetent administration acted without having all the facts. I've been saying this.
