Exactly.

Gotta love baws disregarding decades of research because they like to feel superior. Like they prefer a less effective method of learning because it was harder and more tedious and therefore "you ain't weak".

Meanwhile they have probably been less successful than they could because they don't know how to best utilize their brains.

I would use 20 min study increments with mini 5 minute breaks all the time. Hell I currently have some sort of media playing while I work because I find that I'm more productive for longer if I only focus like 85%

Most people's brains can only absorb so much information in a given amount of time. After about 45 minutes most people are zoning out, falling asleep, or checking the time every 5 seconds. Especially if it's death by powerpoint.
