Yessir, I'm quite serious. This 2019 club is going to flip a switch. It will host a regional. It will host a super regional, and it will be in Omaha.

I feel confident Marceaux and Hill are going to be ok, and the hitters are going to improve. This is an Omaha type of team without a doubt in my mind. Wait till they get hot. You will be shocked, floored, and blown away how great they'll be in May.

Arm trouble on two freshman never goes well for LSU. We’ll see but that’s not the problem. The hitters are taking the same exact approach at the plate as last year. Broussard and Hughes are lost. Watson looks clueless. I hope you’re right but man it would be quite the leap this year.

I don’t think anyone was bitching about Moffitt. Just that its not a good sign when none of your veterans step up in that situation.

Me too bud. I've seen a lot of horrific games like tonight's in my 28 years following LSU baseball. Mainieri is no Skip, but he generally gets his clubs to peak at the right time. Last year's club got very hot but much too late; it just didn't have enough pitching. I believe we will end up with enough pitching over the coming weeks, and I believe our hitters are going to come out with their a*ses on fire. This bunch has the talent. They going to Omaha.

Josh Smith, Zack Hess, Antoine Duplantis and Clay Moffitt were among the most vocal in the players meeting, per Moffitt. “Those are guys who know what it takes to win in this program. Who else would you expect?” #LSU

You’ve just got to go out there and compete at a higher level,” Reid said. “Not every night are you going to come out here and go 4-for-4 or even get a hit, but you’ve got to compete, compete, compete every time you get a chance. You’ve got to care.”

The senior continued: “We’re wearing LSU or Tigers on our chest. That means something, not just to the guys on the team, but to people around the state and city and country. And it hurts when we go out there and play like that.”

We’ve got to be better,” Moffitt said. “Going out there and losing to McNeese, it’s personal. We can’t go into Mississippi State and play like that. That’s unacceptable.”

Moffitt, the most animated guy in the meeting, continued: “I’m one of the older guys, I’ve been through the ringer and it means something. It means a lot being from Baton Rouge and growing up 10 minutes down the road. It hits close to the heart. You’ve got to appreciate what you’re given, and given an opportunity to play for LSU can’t be taken for granted. We just wanted to address that what we did was un

Watson hit a couple balls hard tonight, one in particular that would have been a run scoring double were it a foot to the left. hitting .200 over a 4-5 game stretch isnt exactly grounds to say someone is lost at the plate. He also had a home run robbed on Sunday. He's been one of the only guys actually hitting the ball well lately.

Players only meeting is useless in baseball. It's not like they could get more physical or come together or sell out on hustle plays. If you cant fricking score a run on McNeese, you can have a meeting every fricking day and it won't matter
