By looking at a few practice vids and reading a bunch of tidbits, seems like 3-4 wide will be used a lot. I see starting WRs look to be Jefferson, Chase, and Sullivan. Sullivan flexes as a TE and then Marshall comes in. Sullivan is a matchup nightmare at TE. Ole Miss had Engram and Bama had multiple bigger body WRs acting as TEs.

Seems like we are finally catching up to what everyone else is doing. With an experienced QB in Joe Burrow and hopefully an Oline that is now working together, this offense could be lethal. Mix of RBs with different skillsets could also help us flex to 5 wide (Emery or Fournette).

Hopefully everything we are hearing about this offense is actually true, unlike previous years.

Why is he not the OC then? I still don't get this logic? Hire the best OC. Well they did that in Ensminger. So why bring in this guy to overhaul the offense?

Just don't want LSU to continue to pay employees that don't do jack shite.

Were you fooled a LONG LONG TIME AGO back in 2017 when LSU said they were going to run motions, jet sweeps and even have offensive linemen doing shifts? Then they ran motions, jet sweeps and had Olinemen doing shifts? Were you fooled then?

Or does your memory of LSU football only go back one season?

I haven't watched, bit hope you are right. We had the coaches saying this last spring. The wrs were the strength of the team. They were pretty underwhelming most of the season.

We couldnt run it last season because of the learning curve. Burrow knew all the plays and audibles, but receivers werent on the same page. Had to dial back the complexity to put together an offense. Hopefully with a full year to get everything down, this season's offense will be the true offense what we expected last season.

Orgeron isn't as intransigent as Miles. I think he know things have to change and really wants to change.
O screwed the pooch with Canada and that's on him for not fully vetting Canada and buying a shiny new object. Last year the offense was hamstrung by an awful O line.
Hiring Brady was a bold move and giving him this much input is encouraging.
Orgeron knows that he can't put up a goose egg against Bama and struggle against teams like SLU.
I'm a believer.

Why do you bitch about something that you don't know anything about? It's not your money paying them. Brady is young and might need a year under somebody. Why complain about it?

Maybe Brady can actually design a play which will allow us to score against Alabama for the first time in two years!

The last time LSU was shut out in Tuscaloosa was 1997. Nick Saban was still at Sparty.

HINT: we have played at Tuscaloosa in the past two years.

This is called the "Rantard" board for a reason. I don't think the term is meant to be complimentary.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Ensminger as a coordinator, I think has a lot to offer as a mentor to an up and coming coach. E has been around college football for a long time and he's going to be able to teach Brady a lot about the day in day out responsibilities of being a coordinator.

We scored on them in 2017, if it weren't for some terrible dropped balls on wide open receivers we probably would have won that year

And then promptly fired that guy and hired a guy who didn't score on them the year before and continued that trend the year after.

Woohoo LSU

I am a fool, fool, fool, for LSU offensive changes. I need to believe. I need to hope. I need to be able to talk about the changes, throwing to the TE, moving the ball on Bama, scoring points, and more. I need to believe.

And now it looks like the right choice was made and this fall the offense will take a giant leap forward.

At some point, one of these predictions has to be right.
