It's too bad a dark cloud will hang over his career, filled with hypocrisy, bad coaching, and blowing men like Krzyzewski, Calipari, and Pitino.

He was a novelty when I was in high school back in the Eighties and college basketball was growing in popularity. There was no one like him then. But now he is just a curmudgeon who tirelessly pimps the blue blood programs and throws out the same dated catch phrases. He is beyond annoying and should have retired ten years ago.

Vitale has his moments.
He is nowhere near as creative as the late Al McGuire was, who coined the term "in the paint."
All of us are aging. Vitale should recognize he is over the hill, do us all a favor and retire.

I'm not sure this was ever true. Maybe at one time he was entertaining. And I used to respect him but his egregious hypocrisy has changed my mind on that.
And now he won't quit. His point today is even more hypocritical, he says WW's actions have tainted what the LSU team is doing, no it hasn't....but he sure is trying by keeping is vitriolic and blatantly hypocritical vendetta going.
