I kicked donuts back in 07. The Miltary Confectionary Complex tried to stop me but I got that willpower.

You was taking about double. At my peak I was taking 10-12 a day. Never tapered just quit. The OT and family helped me tremendously. NEVERRRR want to take a pill again. When I’m hurting bad I’ll take 800 mg of ibuprofen and it helps. Only time I miss the pills is in the mornings with my coffee. It was like a extra boost. Now I kinda drag arse for the first hour are 2 in the a.m.

I don't get the joke, but, if I'm already on a list, I'll be numero uno by december.

Short answer, yes. Mostly auditory though. Especially when I would lay down to try and sleep. Heard all kinds of weird shite.

More flu x 1000 with not being able to sleep or eat and the depression is mind numbing. My last detox was going cold turkey off a 130mg a day methadone / Xanax addiction and I didn’t sleep for over a month. It was pure hell.

Violent shakes, brain zaps that won’t let you slip into sleep, anxiety so bad I wanted to die, shitting liquid for a week. I’ve always been able to power through the physical stuff, it’s the mental stuff that’s much worse for me.

I’ve gone through severe alcohol withdrawals 3 times now and I know I’m turning a corner when I can hold a fork. It’s hell

Alcohol/benzo withdrawal isnt as painful but you can die if not done in a controlled setting.

No, it is very much quite painful should you be suffering neuropathy by the time you quit.

Not as painful my arse. And the toll the heart takes during the withdrawal is mentally and physically exhausting.

Having gone through acute withdrawals at different times of each...I'd take opiate withdrawals over acute alcohol withdrawals any day.

I want to apologize to you for some names I threw out towards you way back when. No idea you really were fighting the fight. Glad you're doing better. I always enjoyed your humor.

No apology neccessary. I dont even remember. No one here pays you any mind, honestly.

Thanks though. I'm back in my hometown for the first time in almost a year and saw my boo thang Friday and Saturday for the first time in 10mo since shes been gone.

I would say I have always enjoyed your posts, but the program of AA/NA teaches me I have to practice rigorous honesty in order to not shoot heroin and coke. So....ummm...anyway.

Nah for real man, thanks I appreciate it, but we are good.
