ETA: My prediction = 3/$17m

CJ Uzomah and Tyler Kraft both just got 3/18 each.

They average 13 & 17 yards per game respectively on their careers.

First of all, Graham had a MASSIVELY better career than Cook before he signed. I get that Graham had more injury issues, but come on.

Jimmy Graham post-Saints has basically been Jared Cook.

Tight ends age well. More than just "contenders" will bid. Not sure where that narrative comes from. The Raiders want him back, for instance.

At the start of FA, from two of the worst teams in the league. The cost of any player almost always drops significantly after the first few days of FA. And that's not necessarily because teams run out of money, but because front offices are better gauges of value than us layfolk and critics are.

Maybe a team with a shite-ton of money will just say "frick it, why not". But if you ran a team that wasn't competing anytime soon, why would you spend big bucks for a guy that will probably suck in ~3 years?

I ignored them due to the odds. With their FA additions, it would make sense for both the Raiders and for Cook. The Raiders aren't "contenders", but they probably won't be a shitshow. Personally, I would never play in California with their taxes, and I would never play for Davis with his haircut. I'm petty though.

**ETA: And I just looked up Uzomah (who sucks) and Kroft (who sucks). As I said, both were signed by shitted teams/front offices. On top of that, both are 26. Those contracts are both straight up "We suck and have a ton of cap space, let's sign a younger guy with potential" deals.
