Dale Brown has an extreme hatred for the NCAA. I sat in his office once and he told me about a time he blatantly committed an NCAA violation by paying players to go to a funeral, and then spoke at the funeral and announced he did it.

There probably isn't a coach alive that called out the NCAA's phony ways as much as Dale Brown. Regardless of what people think of Dale as a coach, he made a ton of sense when talking about the NCAA.

I'm sure he is hoping Wade survives because he spoke glowingly about him and he always thought the NCAA were hypocrites. It hasn't even gotten to the NCAA yet though in this case, it's media and the LSU administration right now.
