Why would we risk playing him? With Wade and Smart out we are playing legal ball. I hope he doesn't touch the court.

LSU will reinstate Wade sometime after the team leaves for Nashville. Meaning they'll willingly charter a flight for $20-30k for him while simultaneously avoiding paying his $50k bonus for winning the SEC.

This is such a stupid take on so many levels.
If you think he paid for Smart, you don't think he paid for other top guys on our team?
If you think Smart was ineligible this year, wouldn't our #1 seeding in the SEC tournament be illegally gotten? That would dissolve our victories in the tournament.
If you think Smart was ineligible this year, why does it fricking matter if he plays again? We'll have to vacate every single win but Vandy (if he's the only guy)
If Smart ISN'T deemed ineligible retroactively, we should obviously play him.
Point being, it makes absolutely no fricking sense to bench Smart at this point. None. Period.

If you're going to bring up that Acadian will just fly him there...sure. But that's $10k+ of jet time they could have donated for another priority.

I don’t see how LSU can avoid paying the 50k. LSU won 15 games under Will Wade which is how many the next teams in the standings won. Meaning Will Wade and LSU would have won the SEC with 15 wins.

I am glad you don't run a program of any sort. You're letting your emotions about one player decide your will to win. We still have an incredible team as we just proved against Vanderbilt. We need to move forward and do the right thing. Playing smart would be testing the system again. Why bother? Lets play legal ball and make a run at this thing with no problems on the court. Period.

Brother, I hate to tell you this, but the season is washed anyway if the NCAA brings the hammer. Regardless of what we do with Smart. It won't matter if he played in the postseason or not.
And if you think Smart was paid for, do you really think the rest of the players were here for free? Come on. It just won't matter.
Testing the system again...LOL. The system is about to break it's dick off into our virgin buttholes. Might as well go for broke and win a bunch before it happens.
