Nah, it's just an obvious take. The next crisis Alleva takes control of and successfully manages will be the first.

Damn SB Nation just went in and everything said is completely true.

quote:Worse case scenario and entirely plausible: Alabama is probably already working out a deal to bring Wade to Tuscaloosa after they part ways with Avery Johnson, then Freak Peas will hire Johnson 2.0 and LSU will be screwed for another 4-5 years.
Wade isn't willfully quiting with 9 mil on the line, and he isn't taking the stand to prove his innocence.
Wade will go on to win the SEC at Bama and destroy LSU every season a la Saban.
Don't think it can't happen if Aramarkalleva stays in charge.
I seriously doubt that Bozo would even talk with the obvious choice (Eric Musselman) to replace WW if something like this were to manifest into reality.

Excellent article that nails every detail point by point.

This article is spot on in so many ways. I wish somebody would print out hundreds of copies and post them around campus before the game tonight. Sadly, knee jerk reactions and overall incompetence are par for the course when it comes to LSU athletics.

This needs to be published in every single newspaper in Louisiana, printed and nailed to the doors of Alleva, F. King, sent to every BOS member and every lawmaker in Louisiana, written in sky writing over Baton Rouge, etc.
It cannot get enough traction, IMO.

Didn’t Bruce Pearl have to wait out a show clause before he went to auburn?

Damn that article is dropping straight up truth bombs

Will Wade may be the best young coach in college basketball.
He would be hired by another school quicker than you think.
Best case scenario is Will somehow survives this prior to the summer (when Alleva’s contract is up) and the pressure is so bad over LSU screwing something up again that the BOS doesn’t renew Alleva’s contract.

Yep, outside of ESPN and the media members listed in that article, this is pretty much what I'm reading as well everywhere else.
Way to go, LSU Admin!

Best and most concise article I’ve read so far about the incompetence of LSU administrators. Aleva has a proven track record..no one should be surprised by this move.
