How confident are we in the general consensus that Trump would smoke Crazy Bernie in a 2020 election match? I'm not so sure that Bernie wouldn't have won in 2016 if he had the nomination as opposed to Crooked Hillary. Socialist and all, he will still get fawning coverage from the media and would have his base motivated for sure.

On the flip side, I think he would fare poorly with the suburban mom and retiree demographics, and if he wins the Dem. nomination that would almost guarantee that Schultz would enter the race as an independent.

Has Bernie won the nomination of the Dems yet? And if he wins this time will they let him have the nomination? Bernie should stop looking past his first objective

He's been surging on Predictit given the fundraising results he's had so far and the faltering of Harris and other candidates.

in a R vs. D general election, as was shown in 2016.. anything can happen.

The media will be in the tank for ANY democrat, and all news will be atrociously bad and anti-Trump.

If a recession were to hit in 2020... I fear how deep the media would dig to blame Trump. Even if it was a minor recession, the amount of death and racism and homelessness and suicides and dumpster diving for food and immigrant-murders and gay people bashing that would be blamed on Trump daily from March to November would be staggering.

Bernie is too beta to throw punches. Part of his platform is just that. The other part is pandering to minorities and exploiting victim hood.

Then you get to his policies. He was on the breakfast club this morning bragging about 5 states installing $15 min wage. Well, several of those states have increasing job loss due to businesses pulling out.

So Bernie is setting himself up for a massive failure of a platform if he keeps it up. Throw in that the majority appall socialism and it's policies and it doesn't look good.

Then you have the argument that Bernie walked with MLK for civil rights, but what exactly has he done since for the black community? He has absolutely nothing to stand on but emotions, feelings, and promises that in the past he has not kept and in the future would bankrupt our country with a quickness.

It’s a moot point.

The DNC will not allow Bernie to win the nomination. Whoever they do nominate may even be crazier than him.

The Trump campaign could continuously show Bernie's quote supporting Venezuela, and it'd be a landslide victory.

Its Bernie’s Dem Nom to lose

He would have won in 2016 without Hillary cheating and Superdelegates

He will win the nom in 2020.

Change my mind

What does predictit say about his chances after HRC enters the race?

Cause you know she will.

This time it will be her turn for sure!! No doubt.

Blacks won't vote for him.

In the primary, they will vote for Booker and/or Kamala.

If they don't rig the nominations (again) and he somehow gets the nomination they will stay home for the general.

He's going to win the primary and get crushed in the general because blacks won't turn out for him, and legal working hispanics wont vote for socialism.

He would have won last time.

I bet skirt.
I think klobuchar can win handily. Trump is already attacking her, with good reason. There are so many it's going to be a while before we know them.

Well most Bernie supporters either voted for Trump, or didn’t vote at all because of the way the DNC rigged it for Hillary, but i still see Trump winning re-election. He’s done a great job with the economy, amongst numerous other things, so i think he gets enough votes to stay in office. If a socialist is elected, there is no hope for this country, and I’m setting my taxes to exempt and using all that extra money for ammo, and a remote location to hold up when crap hits the fan. You have 4 years to file taxes so it should work out.
