I think it was the ump that called a balk on Hess twice under the new rule.

Ump called a balk which I thought was a dead ball call. But the pitch still counted for ball 4.

No I don't think he was behind the plate on Sunday. The one from Friday was a younger guy.

Ah. I didn't get to see yesterdays games. Based on the box scores, the 3B ump from Friday was at 1st on Sunday.

That'd be the one that kept missing strike appeals against Texas batters.

Friday's 3B ump (illegal pitch) was at 1B on Sunday.

The home plate ump Sunday was the clown who missed all the check swing calls on Saturday.

It’s an illegal pitch not a balk. It’s an automatic ball. They were mad because the ump started screaming while Hess is in the middle of his wind up. Number one it is distracting but number two and most importantly if Hess were to try and stop mid wind up because he is being screamed at by an ump that is a good way to get hurt. Should let them finish the pitch then declare it if need to.

Balk is not a dead ball if a pitch is thrown. If the pitcher throws the pitch the offense basically has the option to accept the balk or the result of the play. Bottom line: if a balk is called the pitcher should avoid throwing a pitch (it's a free play for the offense).

PM can't coach, game passed him by, needs to retire and work at walmart as a greeter, it comes to everyone, lose your ability , time to go, maybe the players can take it upon their selves to get the ship going into the right direction

Will CPM split his shifts with you? Here's hoping you don't need to communicate in written form to make a living.

What is the new balk rule, because i was sitting on the third base side looking at exactly the same thing the third base ump was looking at when he called the balk on friday night and I have no idea what he called. I sure as shite let him know about it too.
