Exactly! Once he gets to lsu with the big uglies up front and theowing to the best receivers in the country, he'll excel.

Because his team is shite, they cant block or catch. I watched a handful of Ponch games last season and it was pathetic what he had to work with.
I have have went to most of his games the last 2 years. The team is not good but that zero to do with his lack of accuracy. It has zero to with him having no mobility. The guy is slow at the high school level what do you think that will be at the college level? I hope he improves and makes it. I would be thrilled to have one of our Ponchatoula kids leading the Tigers on Saturdays but I just can't see it happening.

Why are these schools offering him if he doesn't have it like your lying eyes are telling you:
Lsu, Alabama, Georgia, auburn, ole miss etc etc.....

Raw physical ability and by all accounts I have heard he is very smart. 6'6'' 230lbs with a cannon arm doesn't grow on trees. All I am saying is that I have watched may many games of his. He is not accurate and has slow feet. I never said he doesn't have "it". Maybe he does based upon his offers from LSU, Bama etc. They see something, I am just telling you I don't see it in the games. Everyone is blaming it on Ponchatoula's lack of talent around him but that is not what I have seen in games.

Do you even Jamarcus Russell? He doesnt have to be be a true dual threat, he can be just who he is and make throws nobody else can.
Also, again, him looking good in these camps proves it's NOT just him in terms of being "inaccurate", a good LOT of that comes from his teammates simply not giving him much a chance. The defense gives up 40+ a game and the offense has so little talent on him outside of himself and that 1 back who went to Tulane.
Burrow could have looked a helluva lot better if his receiver caught the ball consistently this past season and the OL wasn't total dogsh*t. Probably not a lot different for Finley. I wish he would transfer to a place he could showcase himself.

So receivers dropping passes or the online not blocking has zero to do with his accuracy? Man shut the frick up.

Look at how the narrative shifts all of the sudden. Remember when everyone didn't give a shite about mobility.

Finley is not an elite QB, and LSU does not develop QBs
just stating facts

Finley is not an elite QB
He has all the tools to be one, is a current 4-star, and has a ton of big time offers.

LSU does not develop QBs
He's a junior in high school, and it's not like a QB has never gotten better here before.

Until you can substantiate this statement with something tangible then it is not a fact it is your shitty opinion.
He has an offer list and a recruiting ranking that contradicts your claim. So you are saying that everyone else is wrong and you are right?!

I'll trust Sabans opinion. Just because we havnt developed them in the miles era doesn't mean this group of coaches won't have success.

158/333 passing last season
47% as a junior
51.5% as a sophomore
his receivers aren't THAT bad

TJ Finley all tournament. 6'6". Plenty of offers from big time schools. 242 overall and #9 pro style in 247. Looks to be pretty much elite.

Orgeron seems to be changing that narrative with Burrow and Brennan, and Peter Parish in the fold and Finley and Johnson committed and heavy interest from King.

i would guess that you have plenty of major college QBs that played with no college receivers
the good part about topics like this is that a few years will answer all the questions

Yes it does unless you can show me stats where his WRs are not dropping the ball.

Come on.....

Need a true left tackle first. Hopefully either Dare Rosenthal or Cameron Wire can develop quickly.

LSU fans have forgotten what elite QB is like because of the lack of top offensive minds.
I think that’s why so many people wanted LSU to land Jimbo Fisher. He has the track record, even here.
However, now that Steve Ensminger is the OC that may change because he is a former QB. Maybe they should invest in another consultant to just work on QB’s?

You didn't provide stats that would defend your argument. If you would have posted how many of his incompletions were due to drops then one could conclude to some degree how accurate he is or is not. Instead you take liberties to draw this half thought of conclusion and try to deem it as fact when they are nothing more than your opinion.

nothing more than your opinion.
I just don't think he is good enough to be a major college QB right now.
This is based on his game production. Nothing wrong with having an assessment of a kid's overall talent.
