C'mon I know we have some 90s SEGA kids in here

This game cart was played out at my house.

It could be the best couch co-op of all time, and this version is basically like a reboot. Multiplayer online and couch (up to 4 people)

Where ya at, pointdexters?

I played the originals, but never knew wtf was going on. Is this one any different?

That kind of attitude is why loot boxes and micro transactions have infected video games.

The original is a 28 year old Genesis game.

This is a reboot of one of the coolest, most unique games on the Genesis and in the 90s. You wouldn't appreciate it I guess unless you had siblings, friends, and a Genesis in 1991

$20 is just right, and it is one of the most fun co-op games ever

This was that elusive game that I kept having to rent back in the day that my folks would never buy me. Loved how weird it was. Great game.

I was a Genesis kid, so I played a ton of this game with one of my friends. It was essentially a rogue-lite, well before those were all the rage - randomly generated levels, randomly generated power-ups, and no way to continue your progress once you died.

Having said that, I'm not sure I'm hungry for more of that game. It felt like a very "time and place" experience, when rap/hip-hop was beginning to creep into everything mainstream. It was weird and unique then, but I don't know about now.

It's definitely that, I bought it to support the devs, they did it on Kickstarter and it's essentially a reboot of the first game. They put some extra stuff in it.

It's great homage
