If Hess worked on his mechanics

Maybe he could improve control and stretch out his innings. Seems like he's not fluid throughout his motion and tends to be a little twitchy half way through. It's almost like he's trying to hard and should settle down a little.

It’s not his mechanics, he’s just not a starting pitcher and can’t last more than 2 innings

I think he just overthrows a lot. Like he gets a little too excited and gets too fast. His stuff is electric but there isn’t a pitcher on the planet that’s good when it’s 2-0.

Hess would have to change on his DNA to be a starter. He’s a badass closer, through and through, period. He can no more work on being a starter than I can work on being Puerto Rican.
