Planning a bachelor party for 8-10 people in beginning of October. We're planning on renting a beach house at grande isle for a Friday and Saturday night. Does anyone know of a good and affordable charter service within 50 miles down there? Seems like everyone charges $800 a boat.

Yeah, you right. I mean, we could just surf fish, fish the bridge, side of the road, or pier for $0. So many options down there. Bro wants a damn charter though, and doesn't want offshore.

With 8-10 people you’re going to need at least 3 boats. Not sure what Charters run down there, but it won’t be cheap.

Trout are probably gonna still be in transition, but it’s a good time for reds in the marsh. Might try renting some kayaks in leeville. Like someone said, for 8-10 people, you would need 3 charter boats.

if you are complaining about the price of inshore you better be damn glad he doesn't wanna go offshore

Does the bachelor like to gamble? If so, go to the Silver Slipper instead of Grand Isle and fish with LINK

$650 a boat to fish the Biloxi Marsh. You can either gamble at the casino at night or uber to the bars in downtown BSL

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Another question. I'm looking at two homes to rent in grande isle, one on the beach and another with a pier on the bay side. Would the bay or gulf surf be better in October?

look at guides in the Leeville/Golden Meadow area. the fish will be in transition back to the marsh.

if you can find a camp with a pier and a light on the bayside, you can fish all night and probably catch a few

Let the bawlers charter a boat, the rest of the guys can hang at the camp and secure the strippers, surf fish etc. Aaron pierce out of fourchon is a good Capt and catches fish. October can be a tough month for trout. October is still during hurricane season so make sure you have a backup plan.

Friedbrie please don’t take this the wrong way but if your brother want’s to get a charter get a charter its $200 a person its his bachelor party not something you do every weekend. If someone does not want to pay the money bring a yak or stay at the camp and drink. I would recommend a few charters but Im not sure you would be happy with price and that time of year is hit and miss on trout may only catch a few red fish and some small trout. But if your brother has a good time that’s all that matters. I hope this helps not trying to stir up a bunch of sh*t. I dont think you will catch much in the surf or the pier that time off year like someone said head up to leeville

No offense taken, Geaux4lsu1. Very much appreciate the candid response. I don't think cost will be too much of an issue. I'm always thinking about cost (I'm an accountant) so that is a downfall I have. You're right that it shouldn't be an issue because it is my bro's last weekend of freedom. Recommendations would be very much appreciated. I'm also open to suggestions for something more inshore due to the time of the year, Delacroix for example. But we'd like to rent a camp or house for 2 nights as well.

Lauberge or Nugget with casina pickup, plenty of wimmens from texas to play with. Camps on lake rent for $250/night and casinas are only 12 miles north. Fish, Golf or Gamble all in one spot so everyone can pick a winner.

Give Capt Vern Ledoux with Bayou Boyz Fishin a call. He fishes Leeville/Golden Meadow and Grand Isle depending on where the fish are. You’ll need 2 boats and he could probably set it up with another charter for the other boat. He charges $800 for 4 people which is the normal rate down there, so $200 each plus a tip. He could probably take 5 if needed. We’ve been going with him for years and only had a few bad trips b/c of the weather.
