I was told the war would start this weekend. I’m not sure if it is the people of Venezuela taking back power or the Columbians invading to depose Maduro and defeat the Communist rebels armed by the Maduro regime, but shiite is going down

This is going to end poorly

Anyone think the US will get involved any? *hoping not*

It looks like they are drills according to that twitter feed, but like the guy said, odd to be doing drills at midnight.

If anything, we’re running logistics and sharing intelligence with the Columbians and/or arming a Venezuelan resistance to depose Maduro and install the leader we recognized as president.

As long as we don't put our troops there I'm fine.
(Daughters in the military and heading out to gtmo soonish and just concerned).

Wow. That’s crazy. I wonder if the military is turning?

I don't want US troops on the ground, but a couple well placed daisy cutters would send the right message

Nah.
Shithole politicians, media, and braindead people (sound familiar).
Venezuela has some of the world's most beautiful women and beautiful landscapes.
Most anyone with the means got out of that country 5 years ago.
Hopefully they get their shite together, I would love to visit.

I hope not too but I read on twitter earlier that Pence said to pray for Venezuela this weekend on a private call and Bolton canceled his trip to Korea.

Doesn't mean he's in Venezuela.

Maybe it will be from a distance and no boots on the ground.

Good opportunity for Americans to reflect on how good we’ve got it. Also, a great reminder to the skyscreamers what actual dictatorships look like. The next time someone punches someone for wearing a hat, or fakes a hate crime or spray paints f*ck Trump on an overpass he can keep in mind that someone just got her head blown off because she wanted something to eat. And maybe, just maybe, someone will think about starving Venezuelans staring down the barrel of a gun before the next time “literally Hitler” crosses his self-centered, entitled lips.
(I read “Pharmacy Military Base” the first time. I thought, no wonder they can’t get any medicine.)

I think that the poster is, in fact, implying that the man was sent south.

Trump threatens to deport Venezuelan military officials’ families that have fled to Miami LINK
WASHINGTON
The Trump administration is threatening to deport the family members of Venezuelan military officials — including some who live in the Miami area — who don’t disobey the Maduro government and allow aid from the United States to enter Venezuela.
A senior administration official told a small group of reporters Friday that the administration has collected data on military leaders who have family that have left Venezuela. They are living in Miami, the Caribbean and across the hemisphere. According to the administration, they’re living lives of luxury while their countrymen suffer.
“We will no longer tolerate that double standard,” a senior administration official said. “They face a situation where they and their families will have to go back to Venezuela… They will have to go back and live in the misery that they’re imposing.”
UN unlikely to pass resolution on Venezuelan Crisis
