Why are Tacomas so popular?

I get that the smaller size offers some advantages, but...
Compared to GM and Ford, you get so much less truck for the money.
They also get slightly less mpg than fullsize.
Towing capacity is much less than fullsize.
One could argue they have a longer life expectancy, but GM/Ford can easily get 250K+.
Help me out here.
Edit:
Full disclosure...
My first vehicle was a 1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup - manual - standard cab
Loved it until I flipped it end over end.
As well as a 2007 F-150 & 1989 Silverado, I also own a Subaru Outback.
And I can say unflinching that Outbacks are the official vehicle of Lesbiandom.

doesn't matter how big your truck is if its stranded on the side of the road.

They seem to be the lesbian vehicle of choice lately

Right. I'm not a car person, but in general Toyota has a great reputation for reliability and longevity.

Again...there isn’t a brand of truck that breaks down all the time.

What every durability you get from a GM/Ford you can easily get twice that from a Toyota.

My last 2 F150s went over 250k before I sold them.

Thats just not true at all. Depends on how the vehicle is cared for and maintained.
I got a buddy if mine who has a Ford F350 that has over half a million miles on it and it still runs strong.

That makes no sense.

Sure it does Rog. Everyone has long known that the Subaru is America’s official lesbian vehicle. You're driving a Subaru and trying to change history. Won’t happen.

Since when?

because not everyone cares about a dick measuring contest with who can get the biggest and most outrageously priced truck that 95% of people don't need.

Tacos aren’t cheap neither. They do hold value though. Interiors are too small to make groceries

I still see tons of early 2000s Tacoma’s on the roads. I don’t see many early 2000s Fords or Chevys.
Also, you’re comparing F150s (and I guess Silverados), to Tacoma’s? No wonder you “get more truck,” they are kind of in two classifications. A Tundra is more comparable to those.

Subaru is about the only car driven in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, or any other place people need a car to deal with rain, ice and snow. did not realize those states were majority lesbian.
