The 42.5 is just the latest projection. They’ve been steadily revising this upward as more rain falls in the basin upriver. And even that is high enough to cause problems for interests on the river.

But seriously, My cousin who works with a guy thats wife is in charge of life jackets in South La says there is currently a run on them. Says in about 3-4 days you won't be able to find any on the shelves. Same for pirogues.
