They will move on to Schiff's investigation.

Talking points will be that Mueller's investigation was limited by Trump failing to provide all the financial documents that were requested and by Trump exerting undue influence on witnesses. They will focus on his public comments about the investigation, will claim he offered to pardon potential witnesses, and will claim that Whitaker was working on the inside as a counter to honest Bob.

Schiff will focus on the proposed Trump Tower in Moscow and whatever he can dig up if they get their hands on his tax returns.

It's all one big dog and pony show. The end game is to keep the investigation(s) open should another SC seat come open. Then they can claim that he shouldn't be allowed to appoint another justice while under investigation.
