We don't need to give him a raise, just for the sake of giving him a raise. If other teams come calling, then you pay the man. If he begins to sniff around, and pay is the issue, you pay the man.
There may already be clauses in his contract that say if he makes it so far he gets a bump in pay anyway.

I said a raise only if he gets to a Final Four this year. If that happens, you pay him and increase the length of his contract and his buyout before anyone can come calling

An unforced raise as a show of support, faith, and loyalty is a pretty powerful statement and can go a long way in retaining a coach when someone does eventually come calling.

Why not? LSU gave O an extension and no other program is even close to trying to poach him.

Give him a raise so he doesn’t sniff around. Another 500-750k puts him in the top 3/4 in the league where he needs to be if we want to hold on to him. He gets paid less then Drew and White who have zero skins on the wall and Cuonzo Martin who is the epitome of mediocre with one fluke sweet 16
