Covid targets unhealthy people and yet you NEVER HEAR that simply making healthy choices will go a long way in protecting someone. The answer simply is take the shot and you will be ok until heart disease or diabetes or something else comes calling.

Uh, we constantly remind patients about BMI and trying to improve their diet. Given that people are fat as shite, compliance is going about as well as educating you morons on immunology. Also there is a meaningful difference between metabolic diseases which cause sequelae which have diffuse social costs, spread out over a long period of time, and a directly infectious disease spread through droplet transmission.

Free McDonalds if you get a Covid test
A dozen free donuts if you get a vaccination

Not once has JBE or any of the Dr’s he’s had on stage mentioned anything about getting exercise or eating healthy
In fact, the only thing I recall is JBE & Cassidy blaming food deserts & maki g excuses for people

I think you're both right

No doubt physicians (and until recent years, the medical community at large) have promoted healthy eating, maintaining a healthy weight, etc.

That said, and while it's not a useful "fix" for Covid, it makes no sense that media, government, healthcare institutions, etc. haven't been beating the country over the head with "being fat isn't just something you have to worry about 20, 30 years from now" narrative. Why aren't they? It costs nothing?

The reason is obviously that they're concerned that it'll muddy the message on the vaccine, which is a horrible reason not to tell the truth.

Got it. People are too stupid to make appropriate life choices so you have to save the day by giving them a shot. Literally we were giving the shot out with a free donuts or McDonald’s. And there are headlines of “perfectly healthy” yet morbidly obese teen dead from Covid.

All kidding aside I believe the actual doctors have been telling their patients about BMI issues but the world says that is “fat shaming” and big is beautiful. Our food industry is to set up to be addictive and the addictive things are just terrible for us. You want to eliminate a lot of health problems then ban soft drinks or refined sugar. That will actually make a difference in the long run bc as you imply people are just too stupid to make the proper life choices.
