This isn't being logical at all. Our o-line was serviceable AT BEST last year. We had to sacrifice a set of hands to max protect instead of using them to make plays (while haters blasted E for "lack of offense
So whats the excuse for Southeastern shutting us down?
How about la tech?
Are you saying we didnt have the offensive talent to outgain every southland conference team that had more yards and 1st downs against Southeastern?
Or what about the shitty arky defense holding us under 400 and 20 points after giving up 430+ and 34 points to Colorado state?
You see your talent theory would work if we didnt get shut down by vastly inferior teams.

Deculus got abused by their defensive end all night long. Your argument holds no water. It's the same one that you trot out every time. I can't believe that you just won't admit it.
If the defensive end is abusing the frick out of your right tackle it doesn't sound like he's vastly inferior.

Taylor isn't coming back. He committed a serious crime and then tried to hide it from the coaching staff. Unless all of that is debunked and charges dismissed and it was a mistake, I don't see O letting him back on. But could be wrong I guess.

So deculus isnt getting good coaching and there are simple ways to gameplan around a shaky oline. I dont know why you wont admit it.
Our OC did nothing to help our oline all year.
He refused to move the pocket around.
He refused to stop putting burrow under center
He refused to teach our players how to run a simple screen.
He refused to spread teams out.
He refused to stop going max protect( something ZERO GOOD OFFENSES DO)
Why you cant admit this is shocking.

Quick while you have all the answers. Call up at the football operations building and explain to the coaches that you've got them covered for getting their arse handed to them at the line of scrimmage. With your background I bet they'll bring you in as an analyst.

Im just saying there are things we could've tried. Do you honestly believe lsu oline talent is worse than Southeastern dline talent?

I know good and well that the defensive end wore Deculus out. And abused him all game.
Their entire defensive line didn't have to be better.
Edge rushers killed LSU against Florida.

So much wrong with your post.
No. Our O-Line was serviceable, PERIOD. And they were very young. Young linemen get better. Offensive line is the worst position on the field to play young people.
"Shred of proof" is an oxymoron. It's either proved or not. Did you mean there is not a shred of evidence? If so, you are wrong. Running back is the easiest position on the field to play a freshman. Virtually every great running back was good as a freshman. We have two guys who figure to be very good backs - one who figures to be great. The odds are high that we will have very good running back play next year.
"Back" to elite status? We never left it. Last year was one of the best secondaries LSU has ever had. Greedy, Fulton and Delpit will probably all be first rounders. Two of them will be back next year.
We are not two years away from a serious run. We start peaking this season with a very veteran team and an experienced QB. This is our year if we stay away from bad injuries.

And just because we added Stingley doesn't mean we've suddenly gotten back to the elite status at DB.
