As long we are within the top 4 that pick would be a franchise player?

1 Morant
2 Zion
3 Reddish
4 Barrett

Build the team around him?

When’s the last time all top 4 players turned into franchise players? Very rare

In fact most years 1-2 guys are absolute bums. Top of the draft is so volatile

With the Pels luck, we will acquire 3-4 1st rounders, with 2 of them being the year that the NBA puts in some 2 and through rule, making college kids stay in College for 2 years.

4 of top 5 in the 2003 draft did, with Darko Milicic being the odd man out.

You had LeBron, Melo, Bosh, and Wade in that draft IIRC.

Would the kid from New Orleans, Lamar Peters,be a good mid first pick?

Yap I remember 03’. Great draft but even then you have Darko in there. There’s almost never 4 sure things

Not every team drafts best available talent at their position, which is why you get some WTF picks.

Another good draft I’m seeing is 2007 between Oden, Durant, Horford, and Conley. Oden’s problem was injuries and not talent.

2009 had a lot of talent up top but there were WTF picks of Hasheem Thabeet at #2 and the Wolves taking Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn back to back at 5-6. (Rubio was solid but unspectacular while #7 pick Steph Curry is the current best in the league).

Anyone can speak of that japanese kid? Rui Hachimura? eta: watched some highlights of his the other day, nothing too impressive imo, lots of going to rim layups etc.

i like what i've seen from Knox vs Flyer on Hachimura.

This is not considered a loaded class by any means. Even at the top.

Undersized and inconsistent. Doubt he gets drafted in the first, if at all

The draft is so unpredictable. That’s kind of why I want Tatum instead of a gamble.

Kind of...

There is no sure thing outside of Zion. and you even cringe to say he is a sure thing, because in reality you dont know.

Hard to believe Oak was a top 3 pick just 3-4 years ago

3 of the top 4 picks from the 2015 draft are no longer with the teams that drafted them

If you mean “sure thing” as for sure a decent to good long time NBA player then sure. I still wouldn’t say Zion is a “sure thing” superstar in the NBA, no one is a sure thing in that regard

Reddish? The guy shooting 34% right now is in your top 4? Zion and Barrett are miles ahead of that guy.

Great back to the basket game. Solid from anywhere on the floor. Very efficient scorer. Good rebounder and decent defender. Biggest knocks are 3 point shooting (shoots 43% but has only taken 23 this year) free throw shooting and that he’s a tweener between the 3 and 4
