He did change his story. First report had no MAGA Country in it. Then TMZ reported and the police learned it from there.

Unless someone is lying, don't their stories ALWAYS change a bit, mostly by remembering more details or something like that? Their stories never "Never change" unless they are rehearsed beforehand and memorized, much like an actor would do in a, say, a TV show.
And they don't change by remembering completely new and outrageous facts, either. "I was beat up." "Anything else?" "Nope. that's it." Ok". next day... "Oh yeah, I remember now. They was white. With hoods. And red MAGA hats on top of they hoods. And a noose. That they put around my neck. And yelled racially charged phrases at me."

ummm... his story has definitely changed several times.
This whole story stinks of a publicity stunt gone very wrong.

Unless, it’s clear the Chicago PD and/or Feds have in no uncertain terms called BS on his story.
Not in uncertain terms, but the implication is clear:
quote:
“Both the victim and his manager have made statements to detectives that they were on the phone with each other," he said in an email. "We were not able to independently verify that because they did not turn over cell phone records to police when asked.
"That being said, we have no reason to doubt the statements given, and the reason that detectives requested cell phone records is because the manager and the victim have a financial relationship with each other," he added. "Because of that, independent verification was needed for the investigation."

They're trying to get out in front of it.

I hope they arrest both of these race baiting queers for filing a false report.

How did some random people know he was gay?

One article posted here earlier said something like “Even if this is made up this kind of stuff is happening all over.”

Most folks had never heard of this guy. Him and his manager thought this would be a good way to get his name out there, but apparently they aren’t as smart as they seem

What always gets me is that ne'er do wells always assume that they have it all figured out. When, in reality, police officers are like parents dealing with children. Chances are, they've either already tried or already heard every single lie you have told or will ever tell in your life. Especially the grizzled loose cannon types.
When this story first came out I could practically feel the shift commanders eyes rolling from this side of the great divide.
