OB, I’m starting to look for a new ATV and I am interested in the new Yamaha Kodiak 450. All reviews a seem to be really positive. Anyone have any experience with this bike? I think it’s been out for a couple of years.
Any input is appreciated.

Thx

I have no idea if they have anything in common, but I have a 2003 kodiak 450 and it has been an excellent bike. I’ve had to change a few gaskets/seals over the years, but other than the normal maintenance it has never needed work. Starts right up every time and does everything I ask of it. If it ever does give out and I need to buy a new bike, I’ll buy another Yamaha 450.

Just my personal opinion but I'd buy used.

You can't go wrong with a Yamaha or Honda ATV

This is one of the local ATV dealers in Tuscaloosa

I would advise spending 500 more and getting the 700.

The 450 is a good unit, but it is not the same as the old 450.

I looked at them hard, but ended up going with a Can Am Outlander 570. I just wasnt comfortable with the handlebar placement on the Kodiak 450. I would NOT let a teenager drive my Can Am, way too powerful and fast. I would get a Honda rancher and let it eat.
