Commissioners opted to start the Coastal Zone season a week earlier, so current dates for the first split up for public comment are now Nov. 9 – Dec. 8, with the second split running Dec. 21 to Jan. 19.
Wtf are they retarded

I've attended before....waste of time. They've already made their changes, and the comments fall on deaf ears. I think this is some kind of public courtesy, or perhaps just something legally required of them.

Please explain why Louisiana opens and closes before some northern states

Nice looking dog. Did you train your puppy for retrieving ducks?
We took out English Creme Golden Retriever to obedience school down in Demopolis but he failed.

Why are five of the seven board members of the La. Wildlife and Fisheries Comm. below I-10. Three have to be from coastal parishes, but why don't they have more up river. I understand population has a bit if not everything to do with it, but how about some representation in the west Zone. And most are DU members.

Most probably don't even hunt

I love where the owner of a big shrimp co. is on the fisheries/fur part of the board. No conflict here.

My experience was they had their mind made up before the meeting and didn’t care what everyone wanted. No one at the meeting wanted a walk-in only area at Dewey Wills. They did it any way. Not one person spoke up in favor. Same thing with the new impound area. They don’t give a flip what you think

When?
The last time they took a major poll/survey was a few years ago for the speck season length, limits, and structuring.
All of THEIR scientific data pointed to a need for changing the season. The data from the poll clearly showed the hunters wanted a change too.
Guess what happened. NO CHANGE.

Not like it matters. The nets have all the birds up there anyway.
