Deliverance. I'll never hear banjo music the same way again.

Best film: Deliverance
Most iconic : Smokey and the Bandit
Funniest : Longest Yard
Personal nostalgia factor: Semi Tough
His performance in Deliverance was a master class. Absolutely brilliant. The entire cast was stellar.

Probably "the end".
I was never a fan of his white trash movies.

Best - Deliverance
My favorite - The Longest Yard ( "Stick this in your trophy case')
By far most underrated, Starting Over. A very funny movie for which he should have been nominated, because he played the "opposite of" Burt Reynolds.
When he wasn't nominated, he said "frick it" and proceeded to act in shite movies. His only movie in the 80's I remember being worth a shite was Sharky's Machine.
I'm old, so that may affect my opinions.

Deliverance, no doubt. That's Reynolds' acting masterpiece, imho. Deliverance is definitely one of my absolute favorite films of all time, though it's depressing as hell.
Great scene from Deliverance
Continuation of great scene
I also love Burt Reynolds in "The Longest Yard." That's a terrific movie, and so far superior to the pale remake with Adam Sandler (no offense to him as I'm a fan of his).
My vote for underrated: "The End"
