Well...I think my heart is glad they didn't but the gamer in me thinks it would be fun. Plus it would have taken me double the time to finish so I would have had more bang for my buck.
I wonder if they are just waiting to port it so everyone buys the Remaster, then the VR version.
Even though I don't have a Vive, I'm still a bit pissed they never released RE7 for the other VR machines. I think it would have been a big boost to VR.
Hell, I bought PSVR just for RE7 and think it was worth it for the experience.

Yeah I think I had almost 40 saves on my first run
The first time I decided to try to limit my saves on my second run and got but and had to redo about 20 mins I said F all that, back to Sabi ng every time I pass a chance to

yeah thats the most nerve wracking part. in S+, the optimal save points (you can only save 3 times for S+) are before G1, G2, G3.
In my runs, I've saved before G1 and the chess room as soon as you get to sewers. im too scared to risk the G Adult hallway and have to do the Mr X section all over again.
Last night, I beat G2 and went to the lab and said "ill save before G3," then I died to the double lickers. I lost my my mind I was so mad. Said "ok, im saving at start of labs." went back and had to do sewers and early lab all over again.
of course I was too stubborn and decided to save before G3 again. Barely made it there. Was on danger and had to knife an ivy. what a rush!
Worried on this leon run since I dont think I'll have time to go back for the magnum. may have to wing it with the shotty smh. glad i have lots of powder saved

The Ghost Survivor stories are pretty cool. Not bothering with training mode, just jumping into them.
Started with the girl's since it was supposedly the easiest, took me like 5 tries though. Is is pretty easy once you learn it. I can do it now with ease.
The gun shop dude only took me like 3-4 tries even though it's supposedly harder. Last room is a doosy. There are two routes through the final stretch and I took the shorter and likely easier route. I'll do the other route soon as there is a reward for it.
Haven't tried the solider's story yet, supposed to be the hardest.

I just got it the sewers on my Claire A hardcore run. I’m at just over an hour so hopefully I have time to finish. I’m just trying to get an S and get the LE 5 for Leon’s hardcore run. I’m going to finish the platinum then move on to ghost survivors. Has anyone used the original character models released today?

Cant imagine how you guys are doing hardcore. That's up next for me. Finished Claire for the 2nd run and now I have my stabby knife.

I only did one hardcore run, it's really not that bad if you've played through the game already. You know when the boss fights are. You know the boss fight mechanics. You won't waste a lot of time backtracking.
They don't mention it in the differences, but there are not as many inventory upgrades in hardcore. Regular mode has 6, hardcore mode has 3. But knowing what you need where makes up for it.
You get about 26'ish ink ribbons total from pickups so that can help you ration them out through your playthrough. I only saved about 24-25 times in my regular mode playthroughs anyway so I never felt starved for ribbons. Every time I naturally would have saved I had one on me.
The way to make it much easier is if you bungle a section badly between saves to simply reload and try again. I'm glad they built in the S+ ranking to give you that extra rung to reach for that you can't just brute force through.
As for the Ghost Survivors.
Completed the solider one. It was harder than the other two, but also the shortest so you don't get frustrated learning it, you never feel like you lose much progress when you fail.
Probably not a spoiler if you read the records/achievements but after you beat the 3 initial character scenarios, it unlocks a 4th scenario. It's very diff. from all the other character vignettes in a cool way.

trying to do the No Way Out deal with less than 60 handgun rounds used may be the most unenjoyable thing I've done in my whole life. total piece of shite
Posted on 2/16/19 at 7:03 pm to Carson123987
I haven't beat it regular yet. Only did one attempt and got 63 kills having no clue what I was doing. Doesn't seem that terrible but takes longer than the others so wiping at 95 kills or something gonna be tilting as frick.

i've gotten 84, 84, and 89, ran out of ammo in all of them. stupid as frick
Posted on 2/16/19 at 9:13 pm to Carson123987
Finished both hardcore trophies. I used the infinite handgun for Claire’s A hardcore run because all I wanted to do was get an S rank and get the infinite LE-5 for Leon’s hardcore run. During Claire’s run I used all my ammo and the final boss died with 8 seconds left on the timer. Got the S rank with only 9 minutes to spare. Cruised through Leon’s run pretty easily. I had to get the last two files from Claire’s 2nd run so I put it on assisted and the drop in difficulty from hardcore that I’ve been playing all day is crazy. I beat Birkin 1 in about 5 seconds with the LE-5. Just need to beat 4th survivor for the platinum trophy. This game is been insanely fun.

nice work. you need to get some S+ ranks now, the infinite RPG and minigun are too fun
i just had a massive frickup from a complete lapse of brain function. im at 97 kills in No Way Out and an enemy has a backpack at the end. I totally forgot that if you let them grab you, the backpack falls off. I've used that technique a dozen times and I just forgot in the heat of the moment. used my handgun to dismember him and went over the 60 shot marker. i want to kill myself
ETA: got it on my next attempt. whew. All records for Ghost Survivor complete. Last achievements I have are the files and Claire B

I made 4th survivor much harder than it needed to be. I played it like I did the normal game and tried to one shot to the head and run by. Well that wasn’t working because one of the other 10 zombies in the room would grab me. Then I was killed twice by those fricking plant zombies because they grabbed me and I didn’t have a defense item. Then I started just shooting shite and made it to the end with a heal and a bunch of ammo. Now I’m onto ghost survivors. I’ve watched videos of that less than 60 handgun bullets achievement and it looks absolutely miserable.
Posted on 2/17/19 at 6:26 pm to Phate
I'd say 80% of 4th enemies can be just run past. I can make it all the way to the licker by G1 without firing a single shot. Just run run run and never lose pace.
it is. thinking about doing a guide since there are no good ones on Youtube. Bottom line is that you need some luck on your side.

The other tofu modes look easier because you get a ton of weapons other than just knives.

yeah, i played the one with the grenade launcher, that was pretty fun.
the dude with the quickdraw is going to be tough due to his lack of sub weapons

Dude. I'm so pissed. Playing the soldier mission and I finally make it clearing out the lab lobby. I'm locked and loaded with tons of ammo and full health. Go to the big door and am waiting for it to open and all of a sudden X drops down and smashes me. I run around but get stuck waiting for the 3rd one and he smashes me down to red. I make it out but immediately run into that hoard but the first one gets me and I'm dead.
