True...

My only issue is we've let a couple of in-state kids go elsewhere that probably would have fit us as well as this kid.

Now we’re talking looks like a beast now. Sometimes these guys who don’t have the greatest attributes on paper but have a gritty play style with a great worth ethic... end up being much more valuable to the program than a guy like sopsher who thinks everything is centered around him. Give me the guy that the patriots would add to their team, over the high school star who thinks he’s the shite and can’t handle adversity when he realizes kids are just as good as him in college.

We have not let anyone with this kid's size go elsewhere, other than maybe Myron Warren. Is that who you're referring to?

Can I criticize Them for just in general fricking up a position of need for like 3 years?

How did Terrance Alexander work out?

Just fine? He contributed on a really good defense. I don't see how you concluded that Terrance Alexander was a wasted scholarship.

The handling of the CBs last year was bad.

We lost Toliver Jackson and Lewis transfered

We took in Joseph and Alexander.

So we lost more CBS than we gained.

How we let Lewis transfer to replace him with a Alexander is beyond me.

Downvotes but no replies.

Facts are fact. O put all his eggs in the Surtain basket and we still needed more than 2 DBs in last years class.

Remember our CBs on signing day were

Greedy
Vincent
Kirklin
Fulton
Jospeh

That’s 5 players to man a position where we routinely play 5.

We got alexander and switched Netherly, but again bodies =\= real depth

Yes. Sonnier is also still available, although I've read that some here aren't impressed with him.

Why does this name keep coming up on here? LSU is not an option for him.

I'm pretty sure this guy went to the same high school as Siaki Ika.

He did a belated birthday wish to a high school coach. The high school coach's twitter had all the re-tweets of Siaki at the Poly Bowl.

Probably because I didn't say that? He did waste his opportunity to actually start by getting ejected from the bowl game though so yeah real dependable depth there.

My point is having a backup plan isn't a stroke of genius and just because we get a warm body in the same position doesn't mean it's not a problem.

Juco's have not really much for LSU from what i can remember.

Wroten, Ken Hollis, Ken Adams, Damien Lewis off the top of my head. have we missed sure, but we've had some good ones.

(jury's still out on Traore and the pass rusher from last year IMO GFY HAGD)

I just watched his tape and I really don't see him playing DE in our base defense. I think he would be a tremendous asset because of his versatility though. He's stout enough to put his hand in the dirt and take on offensive linemen and fast and agile enough to line up at buck and either rush the passer or drop in coverage.

There was one play in his highlight where he was lined up at OLB and went step for step covering a running back on a wheel route.

Also, his motor is incredible. There are plays where he's lined up at DE and ends up making a tackle 15-20 yards down field.

I thought Travez Moore had prime opportunity to step up once Chaisson went down. Didn't happen.

Gotcha. I agree. But Alexander was a nice save AFTER the Surtain debacle. Obviously, I would have much preferred Surtain, though.
