NET is 16. Up from 25 after the win over the Runts.

LINK

Surprised to see South Carolina at 133 (prior to last night's win).

Still an interesting metric to discuss. Rankings don't mean anything either, and we talk about them.

South Carolina at 133

That places into full relief the utter worthlessness of RPI. A Carolina team who's 4-0 SEC and has played lights out for 2+ weeks merits more respect than being put toward the bottom of RPI ratings for SEC teams, underneath Georgia, Vandy, A&M and Mizzou.

Everyone is going to start noticing LSU. They’re only 4 spots below Kansas.

Are we just supposed to forget they went 5-7 in OOC play?

They are 9-7 with losses to Stony Brook, Wofford, and Wyoming. That’s a tough hole to dig out of.

I hate Virginia always being a 1 seed. They will get their arse handed to them when they play an explosive offensive team in the tourney again.

So you haven’t watched them play at all this year.

This team would beat those if the games were played now. Just the kind of progress you want to see for a young but talented team.

They are the same team they always are. A defensive oriented team. They don't score a lot. They hold the ball until the end of the shot clock and play D. They have been the same every year under Bennett. Once they get into the tourney they fold. In Bennett's 10 years they have made the sweet 16 twice and elite 8 once 2 of those in the same tourney run. It being in 6 tourney appearances

So what? Do you think they don't earn the #1 seed during the regular season? They went 17-1 in ACC play last year. That's INCREDIBLY hard to do considering you have to win AT places like Duke, UNC, Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame, plus whichever other ACC teams happen to be pretty good that year (such as Clemson last season). There are several teams in the ACC that have expolosive offenses and UVA handled them all last year...sometime 2 or 3 times!

UVA's loss in the first round was as stunning an upset as there has ever been in the NCAAT. But that doesn't mean they didn't deserve the #1 seed.
