Folks, Why Are Government Employees So Scared To Work In The Private Sector?

Couldn’t be the entitlement, coddling, job for life sans a Felony charge, bloated pension system, and no account jobs where they aren’t doing anything other than sitting there playing make believe because of all the duplication? Right?
It is embarrassing how afraid of being accountable these maggots are. They don’t have a clue how the rest of Americans have it when it comes to gaining or keeping a job.

Spoken like someone who actually knows no federal employees nor is aware the critical service they provide to the nation.

It's a percentage...you can eliminate at least 30% of gov't jobs and the public wouldn't even know. You have just about kill someone to get fired.

Law enforcement everywhere thanks you for your sentiment.

The private sector is competitive. Govt is not. Some people can't hack competition. Have you been to the DMV? Do you think a private corporation would hire those people?

The ones I know personally don’t care where they work. They’re just trying to get the best job available to them.
Like the rest of us.
Like the rest of us.

Now republicans hate government employees? Is there anyone republicans have not targeted in the last four years?

I blame the whole setup of the federal government. There is very little accountability.
People will get away with laziness if you let them.

I mean some people are just happy to have jobs man. A lot of folks don’t put as much partisan thought/political spin on their job as the average poli board poster. They just go to work to make a life. Some for private some for public, hell some bounce between both. Kinda shitty to call a regular joe doing some entry/lower level job a maggot.

Precisely. If easy jobs with great job security and benefits are available who am I to criticize someone for taking advantage of them? Plus it’s more than a little presumptuous to say they’re “afraid” of the private sector.

I’ve done both in my lifetime. Government work is actually harder in many ways. Red tape and micro management is unbearable. Also the fact that the vast majority of people hate you takes a toll over time. Many government jobs exist because there isn’t a private sector alternative. LEO, firefighters, prison guards, inspectors, wildlife people. Lots of jobs out there that are pretty important and under appreciated.
This shutdown isnt about hating on government workers.

Might I assume you’d be fine without the following:
1. Airport security
2. Fish and Wildlife Service
3. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
4. National Weather Service
5. Inspections of chemical factories, power plants, oil refineries, water treatment plants, and thousands of other industrial sites
6. National Parks and Monuments
7. Food Inspection: Food and Drug Administration has stopped its routine inspections of seafood, fruits, vegetables and other foods at high risk of contamination
8. Tens of thousands of law enforcement personnel are among those working without pay. That includes workers at the F.B.I., the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Prisons, Customs and Border Protection, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service.
9. At the Securities and Exchange Commission, though, all but 6 percent of the agency’s approximately 4,400 employees have been sent home, according to a contingency plan. That limited staff will handle emergency enforcement, but much investigative work is not being done.
It goes on...
Yes. Federal workers are critical to this country.

I work in a building where about 85-90% of the people there are petroleum engineers, geologist or geophysicist. Most of them older, but a good bit of younger ones too. Many of which could walk into the private sector and make close to double their salaries now. But they take pride in working for the government, for much less pay, in effort to helping their country.
I am not in any of those fields. I have a degree in business. In my office we get evaluated annually against our peers and our chances for promotion are based on those reviews.
I’ve worked in both the private and public sectors. Yes, I have benefits because of that. Yes, there is a risk in shutdowns such as this one. I am prepared for it. I am MAGA. I am for what the president is doing. I don’t agree with the shutdown. The shutdown, in my opinion, should be on the politicians who can’t oerform their jobs to get bills passed. I bet if they were threatened to be sent home, not paid, etc, they would pass some bills.
