hoopsgalore, do you have a favorite hot dog/sausage place? I think my favorite is probably the Polish at Jimmy's Red Hots. I'm headed down this Saturday to do some shopping at the Asian market Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights and going to knock a few more hot dog places off the list. Might grab some banh mi at Ba Le too if I have time. .

Just kidding.
Jimmy's is my favorite and one of the most-popular in Chicago.
Others:
- Murphy's Red Hots (Lakeview) - maybe my favorite, but think it might be closed up.
- George's (Bucktown)
- Bangers & Lace (Wicker Park)
- Hot"G"Dog (Ravenswood)
- Portillo's, but that's the obvious choice
- Links (Wicker Park) - was temporarily closed, but not sure if it's back open
