BREAKING: Alabama QB Jalen Hurts has entered the NCAA transfer portal

quote:

Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source told CBS Sports' Barton Simmons.

Other college football teams will now be able to contact Hurts about a potential transfer. Hurts graduated from Alabama in December, so he will be eligible immediately next season as a graduate transfer.

After going 26-2 as the Alabama starter over his first two seasons, Hurts spent the 2018 season as the backup behind Tua Tagovailoa. Hurts had been replaced by Tagovailoa, the 2018 Heisman Trophy runner-up, in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game against Georgia, sparking a comeback victory after halftime.

If CFB tracker yardage the way that MNF does where they show all the yardage that a player ran on one play behind the LOS, then jalen hurts would lead the NCAA in career yardage

Realistically, I don't see how he doesn't go there. Oy way I see he doesn't is if They say they don't want him.

It's kind of a no brainer, especially now that Oh St is full and hurts would be so close to Texas.

I feel like Lincoln needs a better passer than Hurts.

That was exactly Cris Carter's opinion. I actually think there is some merit to it if you're not going to be a pro. Tough it out at the school, maybe you get used in some big games (it did happen in the SECCG), and you're part of the club for life. Why throw that away for a year of ball, unless you're sure to contend for a championship or play at the pro level?

if he isnt an NFL prospect as a QB then what does he play?
if he is an NFL propsect as a QB then he needs to go where the QBs gurus are.

First one that comes to mind after Lincoln Riley is Tedford at Fresno State
