Does anybody “know” anyone that received a Trespassing ticket Saturday between Ft Adams and Natchez? I am asking because I want to know the justification by the MS GW’s. I am very familiar with all the gray area bullshite that comes along with hunting the river. But usually only county or parish sheriffs will write them. It is my understanding that these were written by GW’s. Most people think the high bank on the MS side is considered the levee. Just wondering what they said.

That and the fact that most were Trespassing on one of the wealthiest people in the states 10k private land.

This was probably the most serious offense. Mississippi is still very much a good 'ol boy state. The MDWFP commissioners are mostly connected wealthy men who are friends with other wealthy men. All it takes is a phone call and a warden will jump to attention.

I understand! I have been in many of those discussions. I was wanting to know what the GW were saying.

When I decide to hunt flood water I go with the attitude that I might very well get a ticket wether it’s justified or not. Risk vs Reward.

so you are wanting to know if they got in serious trouble or a warning to see if its worth you continuing to trespass?

Nope never Trespass on purpose. But trying to figure out what’s legal or not off oxbows below flood stage is incredibley difficult. Some times you just have to go with what you think is right.

I’ll say this. They have bunch of new guys working that area that don’t play. Everyone is guilty in their eyes. One is a younger ex marine nd everyone is taliban hiding in plain sight

If they were on lock levin then sucks to be them

Wilkinson Co Is also broke af! Go to court in thy county and they’ll tax you to death any way possible

This is nearly all wardens. It’s pretty sad that they operate with a “Guilty until proven innocent” mentality.

They were Loch Leven and Lake Mary Planting Company. I would have never tested the law on those two spots. I hunt close to there and it has always been a topic of debate on how the GW would interpret the flood water off the high bank. Technically you can access a whole lot of land between 40 an 48ft

Bro, if you desire to be a member of the high water hunting club you best have a fast boat and a big fuel tank.

But then they could purchase their own places to hunt and not need to tresspass.

Yep, that was my point. I found it unusual that the GW wrote the tickets usually they won’t touch it. I quit playing the game and found a place that I know is legal and built a blind. It’s not worth getting in a pissing contest every time you hunt, knowing by the letter of the law you are legal.

I am guessing the morality police on here are not familiar with that goat roping.

I know LA don’t write trespassing tickets for the most part. It’s one of those add on tickets if needed I think.

Don't the gentlemen you are talking about have the opportunity to get before a judge? Maybe they can argue the grey areas and get him to dismiss.

On second thought, the judge is probably a VIP guest on the owner's property so nevermind.
