Whether they are or not, I really like them and I will have a brand new submariner one day.

I have a $150 fossil that I wear all the time and get compliments constantly. Probably tells time better than a rolex as well.
I think its just the name "Rolex". There are much better watches out there.

TBH maybe 1% of the world will notice what kind of watch you are wearing...and that's a high estimate.

I have an old one from 1990’s I won as a dealer award. Never wore the watch as I was too scared to tear it up.
Back then I wore citizens and Seiko watches as I was rough on watches. I think I might could get 3 to 4 yrs out of one. Didn’t want to abuse a Rolex like that.

I wear a vintage Explorer 1016 everyday and will be purchasing another Rolex or two soon.
I don’t wear it for anyone but myself. I like what I like.

Rolex is an iconic watch and has lasted over the years. If you don't like it don't buy it but don't say they aren't popular and awesome. If you want to use your phone fine, but don't knock me for buying something I find appealing. And I've owned hundreds of nice watches but never a Rolex. I just find others more appealing to me.

I personally don’t give a flying shite what type watch a person wears.
I have never looked at a watch and thought, “oh man, he must be killing it cause that’s a XYZ watch”

No. I see tons of c-suite guys, who make 7figures, wearing ironman, garmin, etc.

Doubt it’s still a statue symbol. I’ve had one for 36 years, ladies stainless. It’s ok, still works well, but would be nice to have some fun watches to wear. A watch is an accessory and should be fun, for us women anyway.

Seriously, is a Rolex a sign of class, or just an expensive relic of old people?
Both

Rolex owner checking in. Love the watch, will wear it forever. Those that don’t own are usually the ones to rip those that do..

No one cares about your watch or the make. Men's watch/jewelry marketers are some of the smartest people around.
It's not like women who compare rings, etc.
