Thoughts? Go with MSI or NVIDIA?

Nvidia is pretty far ahead in performance right now. I just bought a 2080 FE and it's awesome. I haven't upgraded my video card in about 7 years, though so the difference was huge for me.

That's a huge upgrade. Are you gaming in 1080p? Hopefully they enable ray tracing and justify the price increase.

The graphic card prices have pissed me off so much its kept me from putting a rig together.

They are largely on control now. Nvidia just said screw everyone and forced ray tracing tech prices when nobody has the tech yet. The are going to produce a GTX line though.

AMD is going to release their cards soon also.

Won 15K out of nowhere this weekend so it's something that I was thinking about, but that made it easy

2080 TI is the correct answer when it comes out, but I would take the 2080 over the two 1080 ti because games just aren't making two card support much anymore.

The benches are fun to look at, but unless the climate changes I will never do two cards again. I have two 1080 ti cards.

The 2080ti costs as much as my entire rig from 2012 did. While it wasn't the greatest thing ever, it was a pretty top-end build.

Sadly, I don't see anything changing until AMD pushes out something worth buying. If you want high-end you really have no choice other than Nvidia. Look what they just did going from 1080->2080s. Not that much of an increase in performance but a pretty solid price bump.
