World of Light mode is a masterclass of bad game design.
I just want to play the damn game and unlock characters not fight 1 v 1 against AI who all have absurd stage-based advantages

When the last time you played Smash?
I stopped buying it on WiiU because just too old or just suck now.
It can be overwhelming.

Melee. I usually stay away because not enough has changed since SSB on the N64 yet they churn these out every console cycle. Ultimate's good reviews and supposedly solid single player pulled me back in.

Okay so go play that game and unlock characters then? You dont have to play world of light to unlock characters. Can play the classic mode or just play regular smash and unlock

Wow. You haven't even hit the dark world yet...
Do classic mode.

Imagine actually grinding for characters. Just do the language change trick and run a 1 stock match against the cpu. Jump off the map and boom, a new character approaches.

You don't have to get characters through world of light. I really enjoy tournament and classic mode. I unlocked most of the characters playing those game modes

This is the same way characters are earned in melee, right?

A character will unlock like every 10 minutes of play time just by playing the game.
Not to mention beating classic mode automatically triggers an unlock as well, and there is a tree to work through the roster.
This has to be one of the lamest complaints I've seen on here. Like every single game with multiple characters now requires some form of unlock. I was finished with characters in under 10 hours of play time.

Yeah okay dude.
You just need to man up like the rest of us and grind. Especially to enjoy the music if nothing else.
I’ve 100% the normal run of WoL and grinded out 23 hours of pain and frustration that made me a better player for it. Going for 100% hard mode.
......pause.

World of Light is pretty bad, that I agree with. Everything else I've played with Smash Ultimate has been fun though. Doing Classic Mode is far more enjoyable at unlocking characters than doing world of light.

World of Light is bad, that much is true, but I play it and I don't know why

Ha yeah, this guy is a fricking loser!

I'll still probably go through and beat it, but it's really hard for me to play more than 15-20 minutes of it at a time. It's just that much less fun than every other game mode.

Agreed

My comment meant he hasn't come close to difficult levels yet.
