I heard about a new 10 10 number that's even cheaper than 10 cents a minute! I can't believe I can call long distance for only 3 cents a minute, that's crazy!

Slow down, you're making the CD player skip when you hit all these bumps.

“Hooked on Phonics worked for me” 1-800-ABCDEFG

We used to prank the hell out of that number from pay phones at school (and other school’s phones prior to football games.)

I won $20 off a guy who bet me I couldn't make his CD player skip. He was a douchebag friend of my little brother. He had just spend $100 on portable CD player that was "skip proof" and he was being a jackoff at a get-together, showing it off. Banging it against the table, all kinds of shite to show how awesome his new thing was. So I made him a bet.

See, I happened to know that the non-skip technology was just delay, what kids today might call "buffer" on a youtube video.

So I shook that little piece of shite non stop, music still playing, jackass cackling and laughing at me, his little shithead friends laughing, and after about 30 seconds it skipped. I tossed it back to him.

He made good on the bet though, he paid me my $20. So he was only a 99% douchebag.
