Who are some of the million dollar lawyers in Louisiana?

I'm talking people that consistently, year after year make 7 figures. I say consistently besides sometimes all it takes is luck and one case. Friend of my mine told me they don't exist in Louisiana besides the personal injury billboard lawyers.

Most millionaires have super mundane but above average jobs that they just happen to do very well at.

Umm probably the vast majority of them. A better question would be who are the $5-$10 million dollar a year lawyers. Louisiana is so sue happy that most lawyers make MINIMUM of $5,000 per client. Think about how many new clients sign every day.

My attorney is a personal injury lawyer who dabbles in other things. He is without a doubt seven figures. Has a small office right off of Bluebonnet.

No one cares. Lawyers... How bout a profession that actually does something for the economy?

Lawyers are the worst people in society. I’d put them in the same league as felons

While Gordon is churning those five figure settlements some commercial litigator you never heard of is working on a handful of eight and nine figure cases a year.

There are hundreds, you would not recognize most of the names.
Hundreds implies at least 200, and I guarantee you there aren't 200+ attorneys making 7 figures in this state.

Well all the billboard guys and partners of large firms...

But the single practitioners run every personal expense they can get away with through their office account. He's writing off his gas, his home internet, his dog food, etc.

I'm not talking net. I'm including the forgotten attorneys working for various government organizations, insurance companies, tax authorities and such.
People think a law degree = riches when the vast majority of attorneys make less than 100k

It's been a buyer's market for legal services, generally, for the entire time I've been licensed to practice. Louisiana, in particular, has a surplus of lawyers, somewhere between 19k and 20k. That puts us just outside the Top 10 in per capita lawyer numbers. The old rule of thumb was you needed between 1 and 2 lawyers per thousand people, and up to 3 was pushing it. Now, D.C. and places like that throw off the average, but they have work available for those attorneys.
Louisiana has over 4 per thousand. And, with such competition it is absolutely hell to try to make living doing it.

I know several that are FAR from making 7 figures. Hell, a lot are far from 6 figures. 3 that work in DA's office, one in a small practice, another that does will's and what not. A couple closing atty's I know make a little over 100k and work their arse off.
