Does anyone know who has a good selection of German beers in NOLA area? I wanted to get a few good ones for my husband to have for football games and Christmas this week.

Open for suggestions on brands as well. I know he likes an Augustiner (sp?)

Check out bottle shops in the area and they can lead you to some good choices:

Steins Deli
504 Craft
Craft Beer Cellar

Also, Bratz Y'all has a pretty good selection on draft but not sure if they do Crowlers or not.

Deutsches Haus in mid-city for draft

NOLA Brewing’s Darkest Before Dawn can be found in 6-packs at Rouses or Stein’s possibly. It’s a great dunkel.

Altbier & Oktoberfest crowlers at Port Orleans
Marza Marza Marza crowlers at Brieux Carre
I also believe Urban South has their Oktoberfest on draft still as well and available in crowlers.

I was there for Octoberfest but the inside wasn’t done yet and I’ve not seen it yet. Inside is open now and they’ll soon have an outdoor beer garden under the oaks from what I hear. Should be a nice addition to the Mid-city beer scene and a great afternoon spot.
